Plot Twist? We Handled It.
Dear PECS Families,
As we close out the 2024–2025 school year at Providence Englewood Charter School, there is so much to reflect on. This year brought a wave of changes—many of which we had never faced before, let alone all at once.
Early in the year, we endured storm damage that brought down several trees and foliage. Not long after, burst pipes compromised most of our first-floor classrooms and facilities, including our beloved gymnasium/auditorium. We also navigated an unexpected power outage and underwent the rigorous process of Charter renewal. Each of these challenges tested us, but rather than stall or feel defeated, we chose to pivot, adapt, and press forward.
Through it all, the perseverance and resilience shown by our students, staff, and families embodied the pride of the Knights—a determination worthy of the highest praise!
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to every member of the PECS community. Parents, your partnership and support—whether through classroom volunteering, chaperoning field trips, attending events, or staying engaged in your child’s learning—have helped make this year one of growth, joy, and triumph. Faculty and staff, your flexibility and endurance will never be forgotten. And to our incredible students, your tenacity and ability to rise above every obstacle have been nothing short of inspiring. It is a true honor to look back from the other side and stand #PECSproud of what we’ve overcome—together.
Wishing you all a restful, safe, and joy-filled summer. We can’t wait to welcome you back in August!”
Best Regards,
Mrs. Johnson-Williams
